Canon’s EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens that integrates high speed USM (ultrasonic motor) with full time manual focusing is the first macro lens in this focal length specially designed for the small (APS-C) size sensors of the 350D, 400D, and 30D cameras. The lens features an IF (internal focus) design so the front element does not rotate and the length of the lens remains constant, regardless of the chosen focus distance. The lens allows full-time manual override in one-shot AF mode, typical for ring-type USM lenses. The minimum focus distance is 0.2m, which results in a maximum magnification of 1;1.
